Rockford police officer arrested on theft, fraud charges

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A Rockford Police Department officer is arrested and faces multiple fraud charges.

Corey Roser, 35, is accused of five counts of theft of property over $500, but less than $10,000, four counts of home repair fraud, and one count of official misconduct.

The Rockford Police Department had Illinois State Police investigate the on-duty and off-duty business practices of Roser for alleged offenses in 2024 and 2025.

He was placed on administrative leave and remained on it for the entire investigation…
