At the San Antonio airport, she’s every flyer’s friend

As she arrives each day for work at San Antonio International Airport, Loretta Garza knows what she’s going to encounter on the way in.

When she steps off the shuttle bringing her to the airport, police officers will be stationed along the crosswalk, keeping an eye on things. As she walks into the terminal, she’ll stroll past cowboy-hat-wearing airport ambassadors who are pointing travelers to the right gate. As she heads to her work area, airline ticket agents will be issuing boarding passes and checking luggage.
