SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Amid the release of thousands of files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, some documents have reportedly shown identifying information of victims. ABC4 spoke with an attorney who had been defending the millionaire’s victims for decades.
Paul Cassell, a law professor with the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, appears thousands of times in the latest batch of files related to the Epstein case. However, unlike many named public figures, Cassell is listed as an attorney defending victims.
‘Life-altering consequences’ for victims
“Extremely important privacy interests are at stake as these documents are released,” Cassell told ABC4.com.
