Amazon’s latest layoff notice filed with the state of Washington offers a breakdown of how many jobs in Pierce County are affected.
According to the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification filed Jan. 29, 13 employees in Sumner and one employee in DuPont at Amazon facilities in those cities are set to see their jobs eliminated no later than April 28.
A total of 2,198 workers are being eliminated in this round of layoffs by the e-retail giant in Washington state. The total includes 116 remote employees “residing within the state of Washington,” the notification added…
