Man accused of attempting to enter unoccupied vehicle in Lehigh Acres

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — A Lee County man was arrested after he was accused of attempting to enter an unoccupied vehicle early Friday morning in Lehigh Acres.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office’s arrest report, Dave Elius, 24, was arrested on 11th Street Southwest. Deputies made contact with the victim, who said there was an unknown man pulling on the door handles of a vehicle in the driveway and feared the vehicle would be stolen.

The sheriff’s office said they saw a man who matched the victim’s description and was accused of running away. Deputies attempted to get the man to stop near 11th Street SW, but he continued into a wooded area…
