Lowcountry residents urged to keep winter precautions despite warmer temperatures

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – The Lowcountry spent Monday cleaning up from the weekend’s winter storm. Even though warmer temperatures are expected throughout the week, home-repair experts explained it’s still too early to completely de-winterize homes.

Residents across the Lowcountry spent last week preparing their driveways, steps, porches, and homes for the cold snap this past weekend. Using anti-freeze products, salt, and brine to prevent slippery surfaces. Leaving those products on surfaces longer than needed can be damaging, explained Lowcountry True Value Hardware, John Rice.
