Two University of Cincinnati Students Charged with Breaking and Entering Fifth Third Arena, Alleged Theft of Alcohol

Two University of Cincinnati students find themselves on the wrong side of the law after an alleged break-in and theft at the Fifth Third Arena. According to Cleveland19, Owen Singer and Brom Schindler, both 19 years of age, stand accused of entering the Lindner Athletics Center and cutting through to access the arena’s coolers and bar area on January 24.

The purported theft involved loading various types of alcohol into the suspects’ backpacks and pockets, with security cameras capturing the incident as it unfolded. The pair were recorded departing with their alcoholic goods. Court documents cited by WLWT reveal that Schindler was tracked down to his dorm at Turner Hall, where officers found the jacket and backpack seen in the surveillance footage.

“Schindler allegedly gave police Singer’s name,” as documented in court filings obtained by Local12, leading to the location of Singer at his Stratford Heights dormitory.
