Dogs seized after being left outside in severe winter weather, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control says

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pair of dogs was seized this past weekend as the Charlotte area faced heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control said a 3-1-1 animal cruelty tip on Saturday, Jan. 31, indicated that the two dogs were left tethered outdoors without adequate food, water, or shelter. Two animal care officers responded and found the dogs. Both were safely removed.
