Officer injured in crash while chasing vehicle linked to armed robbery, chief says

WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WXIX) -A Franklin police officer was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a crash involving an Ohio state trooper occurred during a high-speed pursuit of a stolen vehicle linked to an armed robbery, according to Franklin Chief of Police Adam Colón.

Colón says officers received a call around 4:25 a.m. from state troopers about a car chase that started in Butler County. The car had been stolen during an armed robbery involving several men in Trotwood, according to Colón.

Colón says the reportedly stolen car was heading north on Interstate 75 toward the City of Franklin. A Franklin officer was stationed on the highway in his patrol car, equipped with tracking devices, and was about to activate them when the car suddenly accelerated…
