ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Amtrak ridership is rising across the Commonwealth, with nearly 1.1 million Virginians riding the train through September, according to data from the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority.
The figure represents an increase of more than 8% from the first three quarters of 2024 and a nearly 60% increase from before the COVID pandemic.
