TUHS Hall of Fame announces 2025-2026 inductees

Kathy Garner Orrin, Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee, has announced the most recent nominees to the Taft Union High School Hall of Fame’s 2025-2026 class.

Information is gathered from not only Taft High School grads, but also people who have become aware of the Hall of Fame and who choose to nominate outstanding friends and family members who may qualify in the following areas: Achievement (those whose distinguished actions have led to outstanding recognition in their chosen fields on a local, national or international level), Athletics (those who have established outstanding records of achievement in their chosen sports which would make them deserving of special recognition), and Life Time Recognition (those who have been out of school for at least forty years and whose lives shall have reflected character and distinction. All inductees must have graduated from Taft Union High School.

This year’ inductees include Jack Lynch (Class of 1932), noted tennis great, (who will be inducted posthumously). Lynch’s home court became The Bakersfield Racquet Club, and he inspired many tennis enthusiasts during his very successful life…
