GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville County Planning and Development Committee unanimously rejected a proposal Monday night to build 24 townhomes in the Pebble Creek neighborhood after nearly four years of community opposition.
The committee voted against a rezoning request from Green City Homes to add rental townhouses on three acres within the established community, which dates back more than 50 years.
County planning staff and the Greenville County Planning Commission had already recommended denial of the proposal before the committee’s decision.
