MILWAUKEE — Food pantries and meal sites across southeastern Wisconsin are seeing an uptick in the number of people needing services.
The Gathering is just one of the many free meal sites across the city of Milwaukee.
What You Need To Know
- The Gathering has four locations across the city. Organizers said they have seen a dramatic increase in people utilizing their services since the fall of 2025
- Volunteers at The Gathering serve breakfast five days a week and lunch one day a week to those in need
- The Gathering typically provides around 7,000 meals per month. Since October of last year, that number has jumped up to 15,000 meals per month
- Hunger Task Force said it’s seen an increase in many locations across Milwaukee and beyond
