AT&T’s fiber network to expand service in Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. — AT&T has completed its purchase of substantially all of Lumen Technologies’ Mass Markets fiber business, including the Quantum Fiber and CenturyLink brands familiar to many customers in Omaha.

The acquisition expands AT&T’s fiber network to 32 states and adds more than one million new customers nationwide.

For Nebraska customers, AT&T says the deal will bring a major investment in local fiber infrastructure. The company plans to more than double its fiber internet build plans in the state this year compared to last year…
