Montgomery County Precinct 2 Commissioner Charlie Riley has started work on the $221 million project to extend Old Conroe Road after years of the project sitting stagnant.
Commissioners gave Riley the green light to move forward just days after the city of Conroe agreed to transfer the project, which has been in the works since 2018, to the county for $3.2 million.
