(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — A cold front moving through Southern Colorado today, Feb. 3, will bring cooler temperatures, increasing clouds, and some gusty winds. Highs will range from the upper 40s to low 50s across most of the plains, with slightly cooler conditions in the valleys.
Behind the front, breezy northwest winds will turn more northerly through the afternoon, making it feel cooler than the temperatures suggest. While most areas will remain dry, isolated snow showers may develop along the front, mainly near the Palmer Divide and portions of northern El Paso County. Surface temperatures at the surface are generally too warm for widespread snow, but brief bursts of energy from the front could allow for a few flakes, especially later today into the evening. Any accumulation would be light and limited.
Elsewhere across the I-25 corridor, chances for precipitation remain low. Snow showers taper off early Wednesday, Feb. 4, with clouds clearing from north to south. Wednesday afternoon temperatures will remain seasonable, warming back into the 40s and low 50s under clearing skies before a warm-up comes later in the week and into the weekend…
