Anchorage man who fired additional shots at ‘helpless’ man in 2020 killing sentenced to 30 years

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – An Anchorage man was sentenced last week to decades in prison for the fatal 2020 shooting of a 33-year-old man following a confrontation in a semi-vacant lot in Mountain View, according to the Alaska Department of Law.

Superior Court Judge Josie Garton sentenced 57-year-old Peejay Her to 50 years in prison with 20 years suspended for the first-degree murder of Rick Moa.

Her also received a concurrent two-year sentence for tampering with physical evidence and two years for third-degree misconduct involving weapons. Upon release, Her will be on probation for 10 years…
