VIDEO: Ohio wrestling coach faces charges after altercation with referee turns violent

NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio (WJW) – A wresting coach in Ohio faces charges after an altercation involving a referee turned violent during a youth sporting event.

The aggressive attack happened Sunday at North Olmsted High School. The school was not involved, but had allowed the use of its facilities for a youth wrestling tournament.

Police said the incident took place during a match between athletes from Brecksville and Brookside. The video, as seen in the player above, appears to show Brecksville’s youth coach, William Dies, punching a referee as he turned his back.
