EAST FLATBUSH – TWO SECURITY GUARDS at Kings County Hospital Center were arrested early Monday morning and charged with obstruction of governmental administration after a confrontation with police officers over entering a locked ward, the New York Post reports.
The dispute began after a police officer assigned to a prisoner undergoing psychiatric treatment called for help. When other officers arrived, security guard Kadeem Alfred allegedly blocked them from entering until receiving permission from his supervisor. Police then arrested Alfred over the delay, followed by the supervisor, Michael Kee, for allegedly attempting to interfere with the arrest. Both were given desk appearance tickets for later court dates.
