While much of the area has started to come out from under the snow that blanketed the Fayetteville area Saturday night, some areas are still feeling the impacts.
As we head toward Wednesday, February 4, several school systems have decided to go remote once again, as it isn’t safe for some to get to school. This is particularly true in rural areas with more shade impacting the roads. Here’s a look at what’s been announced for Wednesday.

Cumberland County Schools will continue asynchronous remote instruction for students on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, as hazardous road conditions and ongoing cold temperatures persist.
