IU Fort Wayne hits record enrollment

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — Indiana University Fort Wayne hit record enrollment for its Spring semester. Headcount rose to 1,026 students, with the majority choosing to major in nursing.

Deborah Garrison, Vice Chancellor of IU FW, believes that the workforce demand for healthcare professionals in the Northeast Indiana area plays a role.

“Health care is the largest employment sector for our county and the Northeast Indiana region, and we have so many health care providers in town. We find that our students are thrilled to have such a wonderful career ahead of them with so many outstanding organizations really ready to hire them as soon as they graduate,” Garrison said…
