After a rash of burglaries, Pembroke Park police officers ask public to avoid leaving valuables in cars

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Pembroke Park Police Department officers asked the public on Tuesday to avoid keeping valuables in their cars, as they investigate nine vehicle burglaries.

On Monday, a victim in the Pembroke Villas community chased after a burglar who ran after he found him rummaging through his black Chevrolet Suburban, where he had about $4,000 in cash and a gun, according to police.
