MEMPHIS, Tenn. — With snow and ice finally melting, some are wondering when services like trash pickup will resume.
Memphis’ solid waste director said Monday afternoon that pickup will be suspended at least one more day, as some side streets are still just too tough to maneuver.

We deal with the major thoroughfares, getting in and out of our installations, but we also deal with all those small side streets, some alleys, a lot of shaded areas that don’t get a lot of traffic or attention from the sun.”
