Mobile home destroyed, 1 displaced in Longs area fire

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An early Tuesday morning fire destroyed a mobile home and hospitalized one person in the Longs community, Horry County Fire Rescue said.

Crews responded at 2:30 a.m. to Southland Drive, where firefighters could see smoke and flames when they arrived.

The incident was under control as of 3:23 a.m., however the mobile home was destroyed. The displaced resident will be offered assistance by the South Carolina Red Cross.
