A pregnant support dog spent days sleeping with her family in a car after they lost power. Now she’s getting ready to deliver her puppies in TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – After the winter storm knocked out power for a family in Madison, they were forced to sleep in their car alongside their pregnant dog. Now in a shelter, their dog was reunited with the father of her puppies as she prepares to give birth.

The American Red Cross of Tennessee said that Harley arrived at the shelter at the Nashville Fairgrounds on January 31, alongside her owners, Hannah Taylor and Randy Stevens.

The family had spent several nights sleeping in their car outside their home in Madison, the Red Cross said, after they lost power during the winter storm. Harley, the Red Cross said, “is more than a beloved pet.”

“She also serves as a support dog for Hannah, helping her manage anxiety and other health challenges.”…
