ALABASTER – The suspect in the assault on a United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Alabaster yesterday morning has been identified by authorities.
Jose Emilio Ba-Ruiz, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, has been identified by authorities as the suspect in an incident that occurred on Monday, Feb. 2, which saw an ICE officer assaulted.
According to an official Release by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Ba-Ruiz allegedly physically assaulted an ICE officer while attempting to evade arrest. Ba-Ruiz fled the scene but was located and arrested later the same day with support from federal and local law enforcement partners…
