KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A section of road in East Knoxville is closed while the Knoxville Utilities Board makes water system repairs.
Crews reduced a short section of E. Magnolia Avenue to one westbound lane of traffic as repairs are being made to the water system near the Lakeside Street intersection. The eastbound lanes and the inside westbound lane are closed.
A KUB spokesperson said that the roadway is expected to reopen by 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The eastbound traffic is being detoured via Lakeside Street and Crawford Avenue with flaggers, barriers, and signage in place. This closure is expected to remain in place through Tuesday evening.
