JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A woman who would likely spend the rest of her life in prison for killing a mother and her infant son has had a portion of her case remanded back to Hinds County Circuit Court.
On Tuesday, the Mississippi Court of Appeals overturned Beth Ann White’s conviction on fourth offense-DUI but upheld her other four convictions and sentences on aggravated DUI.
The court ruled that the charge should not have been added to her 2023 indictment, saying that it constituted a “new and distinct prosecution that began beyond the two-year statutory limitations period for that crime.”…
