Suspects in deadly shooting at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant denied bond, attorney says

NEW ORLEANS — A judge denied bond for two men accused in the deadly shooting at Dooky Chase’s Restaurant, according to an attorney representing one of the suspects.

During a hearing Tuesday, Mahaki Kelly, 18, and Anthony Johnson, 22, were deemed too dangerous to receive bond, said David Capasso, who represents Johnson.

Kelly is accused of opening fire inside of Dooky Chase’s Restaurant, killing 19-year-old Kareem Harris, and injuring three other patrons. He was arrested on Jan. 28 and faces a second-degree murder charge…
