Baton Rouge man gets 5 years in jail after conviction on drug and gun charges

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man was sentenced to five years in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Brian A. Jackson.

Jeremiah D. Jackson, 22, received his sentence after he was convicted of possession andtransfer of machine guns and distribution of fentanyl.

The Baton Rouge man will also have to forfeit firearms that were involved in this case and serve four years of supervised release upon completion of his prison sentence…
