Eugene deputies find gun, drugs in alleged trespasser car search

EUGENE, Ore. – Two suspects were arrested early on Sunday in connection with a reported trespassing incident near Highway 99 north of Eugene, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said deputies responded at 4:30 a.m. on Feb. 1 to a report of trespassing on a large business property on Highway 99. One suspect, identified as 37-year-old Ryan Howard Pruett of Eugene, was initially found near the property and was later determined to be involved, authorities said. Sheriff’s officials said that deputies found a firearm in his vehicle, which led to the execution of a search warrant on Pruett’s vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies then deployed K9 Tito, who, despite heavy rain, located a suspect, identified as 35-year-old Olivia Mae Johnston of Eugene, hiding among vehicles. Johnston was detained at the scene, sheriff’s officials said.

Authorities said the vehicle search revealed ammunition and methamphetamine. Johnston was subsequently arrested for trespassing, while Pruett faces charges for firearm possession and methamphetamine possession, LCSO authorities said…
