LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Patients who received a mammogram at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center over the past two years were informed of a failure, the 8 News Now Investigators have learned.
They were notified in a letter that the Food and Drug Administration determined the facility failed to meet standards, they may need another mammogram, and they should contact their medical provider.
“The FDA determined that we failed to meet the clinical image quality standards established by our facility’s accreditation body, the American College of Radiology, as required by the FDA,” the letter stated. “As a result, the FDA required us to stop performing mammography as of December 11, 2025.”…
