Woman arrested in Spokane Valley for damaging door with stolen tool

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A deputy with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) arrested a female suspect, described as “erratic” and “possibly high/intoxicated,” on Monday after she damaged the wood door of a residence with a stolen pry bar.

The incident began around 1:40 p.m. when SCSO responded to a report of vehicle prowling near East 10th Avenue and South Oberlin Road. A caller reported that a woman had entered a vehicle and stolen a “claw” tool.

Upon arrival, an SCSO deputy located the 36-year-old suspect running in front of a residence in the 1000 block of South Oberlin Road. The deputy ordered her to stop, but she ignored the commands and began hitting the front door with the stolen tool…
