BELMONT, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Police arrested a man accused of leading Belmont officers on a chase that ended in Charlotte.
On Jan. 23, officers observed a car traveling “in a careless and reckless manner” in the opposite lane of traffic in Belmont. When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver led police on a chase, crossing county lines in Mecklenburg County.
The pursuit came to an end on Sharyn Drive in west Charlotte. The driver got out of the vehicle and fled on foot…
