The Oak Ridge Animal Shelter will be closed to the public from Sunday, Feb. 8, through Saturday, Feb. 14, to allow for a comprehensive deep cleaning of the facility.
During this time, the shelter will continue operating behind the scenes to care for animals, but will not be open for public visits or adoptions, according to a news release from the city.
Ahead of the temporary closure, the shelter is encouraging the community to help pets find loving homes by taking advantage of $55 adoption fees from Feb. 3-7 as part of a special effort to clear the shelter before the deep clean…
