Lancaster City council appoints new police chief; issues message of caution about ICE

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — After a country wide search, Easton McDonald has officially been appointed the next Chief of Police for the Red Rose City.

Mayor Jaime Arroyo selected McDonald, the former assistant police chief in Alexandria, Virginia, out of a group of three finalists. Tuesday night, city council voted unanimously to appoint him to the role.
