MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Leaders for the City of Memphis say progress is gradually being made on the city roads and streets, as the ice left over from the winter storm continues to melt.
Due to the icy conditions and below-freezing temperatures, Memphis Public Works Director Scott Morgan said crews were unable to plow the ice for several days.
“I know, you know, there are some frustrations that we can’t get to all the routes or all the streets in Memphis, and I understand that, but it was a challenging event, you know. A lot different event than what it was last year, where we just had snow,” Morgan stated…
