PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY)– Crews in Portsmouth responded to a fire Monday afternoon.
According to officials, crews were called to the 4000 block of Kalona Drive at 1:27 p.m. for the report of smoke coming from the roof of a residence. When crews arrived, they found fire in the attic of the home.
All occupants exited the home prior to firefighters arrival.
Crews made an aggressive interior attack and marked the fire under control just before 2 p.m. Four adults and one dog are now being assisted by the Red Cross…
