A Chicago man who executed an elderly man who was out for a walk has been sentenced to 65 years in prison Friday.
Alphonso Joyner, 27, fired more than 25 shots at 71-year-old Woom Sing Tse in December 2021. Prosecutors have provided no motive for the crime and have described the murder as a random act of violence.
“This senseless act of violence robbed Woom Sing Tse’s family of a beloved and doting grandfather, and it traumatized the entire Chinatown community,” Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke said…
