BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Jury selection began Monday for the trial of Lanaya Cardwell, a woman charged in connection with the 2021 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Neveah Allen.
A pool of 150 potential jurors gathered at the courthouse to begin the selection process.
