Louisiana is topping a national list and this one’s worth celebrating. Nearly 48 percent of homeowners in the state own their homes outright, placing Louisiana third in the nation for mortgage-free homeownership.
Real estate expert Arthur Sterbcow says the numbers reflect something deeper than market trends; they tell a story about longevity, legacy, and love for place.
“People who are from Louisiana, or move here, tend to stay,” Sterbcow said. “They don’t just come for a few years, they build lives here, often well beyond the length of a typical mortgage.”…
