Great Plains Nature Center to host Kansas Day event on Saturday

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Great Plains Nature Center is hosting its annual Kansas Day event Saturday.

On Tuesday, Darrah Jewell from the nature center was a guest for KSN News at Noon, where she showed off a hognose snake.

She also talked about a Kansas Day celebration that was moved from Jan. 24 to Saturday due to the winter storm that brought snow and freezing temperatures to the state.

Kansas museum’s nightly display honors Black history

The celebration is a free, family-friendly event. Activities will include:

  • An engaging naturalist-led program
  • Learning for all ages
