Boise garden to serve as permanent location for therapy program

A therapeutic environment to help support mental and physical health and social connection has found a permanent home in a popular Boise destination.

The Idaho Botanical Garden on Jan. 29 announced the creation of the Therapeutic Garden on its grounds, which will serve as the permanent home for the nonprofit’s Horticulture Therapy Program. The Therapeutic Garden is also a tribute to Klara K. Hansberger, a longtime community advocate who died in 2023.

The therapy program launched in October of 2025, and the garden features “accessible pathways, restorative gathering spaces, and plant collections selected for sensory engagement and therapeutic benefit,” release from IBG stated…
