Hawaii florists prep for a busy Valentine’s Day rush

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Valentine’s Day is just around the corner on Saturday, Feb. 14th, and florist shops are bustling with orders as the romantic holiday nears.

The joy of a bouquet is what got Pearl City-based florist Raquel Pettway into the business of creating Akets Floral.

“I have always had a love for flowers and the beauty/love they bring into people’s lives. I believe that everyone deserves flowers, and it’s exciting seeing people’s reactions when receiving them,” she said.

They are almost sold out for Valentine’s Day, but they also offer bouquets for any occasion, bridal bouquets, proposal setups, corsages, sympathy wreaths, and vase arrangements…
