Three Augusta University students now serve as Georgia legislative interns this session. Anna Carver, Avery Robinson, and Lahari Kamabathula earned spots in the Georgia Legislative Internship Program with the Georgia General Assembly.
About 35 students from universities across Georgia join the program during each legislative session. The interns witness the legislative process up close.
Students live in Atlanta throughout their paid internship. Each day brings different tasks. They might track legislation one morning, help constituents after lunch, or assist with media relations. Some days, they sit in committee meetings. Other times, they draft bill summaries…
