BESSEMER, Ala. (WBRC) – Bessemer police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy who was gunned down in front of a home on 28th Terrace South.
Police identified the victim as Korderrian De’Vante Sims Jr., a freshman at Wenonah High School. His family said he had just turned 16 last week.
Family members told WBRC they planned to celebrate Sims’ birthday Saturday night. Instead, they are now making funeral arrangements and searching for answers.
