NEW YORK (PIX11) – A New York City school safety agent was stabbed while trying to break up a fight between students Wednesday in Brooklyn, police said.
Officers received a 911 call reporting an assault at 3:11 p.m. The stabbing took place near Ralph Avenue and Beverly Road, authorities said.

The agent was outside during dismissal when they witnessed a fight. The agent ran to the students and attempted to break up the fight. The agent got between the students to de-escalate the fight, sources told PIX11 News.
The agent was stabbed in the left leg. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment and are expected to survive, authorities said…
