WEST ASHLEY, S.C. (WCIV) — A fire damaged a home in West Ashley late Tuesday night prompting emergency fire response, according to the St. Andrews Fire Department.
The statement of the fire states that just before midnight, fire crews were dispatched to the 800 block of Melrose Drive in response to a reported house fire.
Upon arrival St. Andrews Engine 2 crews reported seeing moderate smoke in the home, and assisted in evacuating residents from the home. A fire hose was deployed and crews worked to quickly contain and extinguish the fire, limiting overall damage…
