After 18,000 customers lost power in the winter storm, Meriwether Lewis says electricity has been restored to all ‘who can safely be reconnected’

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative said Wednesday afternoon that power has been restored to all of its customers “who can safely be reconnected.”

More than 18,000 users of the utility lost power due to the winter storm that hit the state 11 days ago. MLEC, which serves Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Lewis and Perry Counties, said its crews “worked tireless hours in harsh, dangerous conditions to get the lights back on.”

The utility also shared an image of a picture drawn by a child that says “Thank you line men you work good!”…
