BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — North Tonawanda Mayor Austin Tylec took to the podium on Tuesday for his State of the City address. The speech focused on the city’s plan for the coming year — however, DPW union members showed up with other things in mind.
Almost 70 union members showed up to the Riviera Theatre in protest, calling for better wages in their contract — even saying that Tylec had a gentlemen’s agreement with the union that ultimately fell apart.
